It is Fydor Dostoevsky in Crime and Punishment so it's not english, it's translated from russian, and it was written in about 1860 so very modern. Raskolnikov the 'hero' is talking to Svidrigailov about eternity. Hope that helps
Can anyone help me with this quote - I need to know who it was written by. All I know for sure is that it is written in the original i.e. this is not a translation so the writer writes in English as a rule. The writer will probably be English, Irish or American. I am guessing it is modern or later. Thanks!
