I am one that loves sci-fi and yet had never heard of bilocation (the ability to be simultaneously in two places at the same time). It is not astral travel, as that supposedly takes places in the spirit realm while your body sleeps or meditates. Yet many have apparently reported seeing Padre Pio in two places at the same time. The concept is interesting because when we are in love we can actually feel, hear, touch and sense our loved ones, as if they are a part of oneself. Reportedly, those who have lost a limb often think and feel it still there. Can it be that because Padre Pio supposedly loved God and humanity so much (to the point of self negation) that he was somehow via love able to transcend himself and appear to others as if he belonged to them? Or is it that others loved him so much that they saw him as if he were a part of them? I would love some feedback on this subject.

I am not a person that believes that any person can be in two or more places at the same moment in time. I think bi-location is not possible. However, I think it is very possible for a hoax of a sort to be carried out quite easily for the promotion of some other self-aggrandizing or self-promoting ideology.

I don’t know who Padre Pio is or was. But I think if he could be in two places at once why couldn’t he be in a thousand places at once, too. Why would he only confine himself to only one other place at the same time? No, if he is or was a man he can only exist where he is and nowhere else.

I think love can sometimes transcend what otherwise would be called an impossibility. Also, I think we can love someone or something to the point of actually making ourselves believe that we know what that object of our affection is thinking or wants from us, but in my mind that feeling is abstract thought and mostly sentimental fantasy. We are humans not gods; therefore, we can only know what is in our human brain’s mind to know. We cannot know what only the gods are allowed to know.

I was thinking on the part of your supposition of Padre Pio loving God and humanity so much that that love was able to transcend himself and appear to others as if he belonged to them. Interesting. I can understand him loving God to the point of self-negation but for him to be able to love humanity to that same degree is doubtful or mere foolishness on his part. I love my fellowman and try to do whatever I can to help him or her to get through this life the best that I can, but in the world that I live and with the people that I come into contact with day in and day out I find a good portion of that humanity very difficult to like, let alone to love.

Perhaps, since he is of the clergy he can love humanity much better and for longer periods of time but to love humanity as much as he loves God, well, that truly is a remarkable feat. Isn’t it?

Love is so far removed from like , the best definition being in corinthians in the new testament,thats the little book for us christians.
Love doesnt give a fig about how your ass looks,how your squeaky shoes irritate,how your face looks like a demented squirrel,only people who like care about such things.
Who do you think wipes peoples bottoms because they cant themselves, bottom likers,?no those that love has made sure have the balls to do it.
Like is evil,I was an outcast to some people in my teens , because my nose was hey" too big", we dont like big nosed people.
Like is the word for every war commited on the face of this earth, mmm I dont like the fact that the south wont join the union, mmm lets start a war that will kill nearly three million americans.
OOOH I dont like American foreign policy, lets fly jumbo jets into buildings killing innocent people.
Like is the domain of the Nazis, the facists , every racist prejudiced, snobby, elitist ignorant human being that has ever spread their gospel of hate since time began.
LOve and love will be love,to all.
Like and like will be to the cute assed, the angel faced, the brightest of the brightest, who couldn't give a dammn if you were on fire at christmas, if hey you weren't cute.
Wake up no one could like everyone, we are all in one form or another, self seeking, and lustful.
Love is something else , it is not sexy,it is not cool, it is not self rewarding , it is not about being a twit,blind to the reality of the universe, it is about trust, trusting that we are all lost, but one day will be found, all seperate, but one day joined.
Love is ,nothing at all related to liking.
