I have applied for and have a great chance at getting a new job outside our school system. I have worked in this school system for 32 years. To say I am getting outside my box is like saying Hitler was a bit pushy.

This job is with an educational consulting organization that serves school systems all over the Florida Panhandle. It would let me keep my benefits as they are and all my accumulated leave (which is considerable).

I would no longer work at schools except to work with educators, and I would travel the pandhandle a lot.

It would be strange not to come to a school. The last time I did not come to some kind of school to do something each fall was in 1955.

Change is a lot of things to a lot of people and as you know change can be good or it can be bad or it can be something in between. But, one thing change is and that is it is a change! It sounds to me that it is a good opportunity for you to have a greater input in the educational systems in your state.
