Its a coming of age story. I really connected with the main character and loved the book. Oh yea, its also written in all letters. He is writing his life to a complete stranger.Right now I am reading Naked Lunch by William Burroughs. I have heard good things about it but so far can't get into it. So far all they have talked about is heroin.Good Luck finding a book! unknown 06-29-2007, 08:00 PM Any book 4rm the Harry potter's series or 'The faraway tree',This books are imaginary but wonderful. fraxinus 06-29-2007, 09:29 PM New Scots author called Stuart MacBride - anything by him and anything by another great Scot writer, Ian Rankin. A new book recently published by Peter Speigelman called "Red Cat" - very good indeed. I am now in the middle of Michael Connelly's "Overlook". Smashing. Screamingradical 06-29-2007, 10:55 PM Check out the Amelia Peabody series by Martha Grimes. Mostly classified as mysteries but good love story also! Schatzi 06-30-2007, 01:33 AM there are lots of thrilling crimes from Hitchcock any stories of him can make you hold your breath in a while, it's so classic but never boring, try reading his short stories, it won't take you long time. Love story? don't miss "Norwegian Wood" from Haruki Murakami, 70% the Japanese population read it! Very exotic and erotic. Tricia R 06-30-2007, 02:54 AM I think that you would like any of the mysteries by Agatha Christie. Her autobiography is also wonderful. outbaksean 06-30-2007, 03:26 AM the moon is a harsh mistress by robert heinlein polkadotprincess101 06-30-2007, 03:59 AM - Twilight and New Moon by Stephanie Meyer- Tithe and Valiant by Holly Black- Anything by Laurell K. For love stories, I am re-reading Nora Robert's Quinn Brothers trilogy (Sea Swept, Rising Tides, Inner Harbor...) and I just love it. I just got done reading "Christine Falls" by Benjamin Black and I really liked it...it's a mystery/detective story set in the 50's about the death in childbirth of this young girl...I couldn't put it down. Draba123 06-30-2007, 07:47 AM Maybe you should join a book club at http://dearreader.com/. They have different categories of book clubs you can join, depending on what you like. Basically they send you an email a day with an excert of a book. They do a new book every week. I've come across a lot of great books through it!
